It’s a day of surprises as Group Stage 1 of DreamLeague Season 24 concludes. The newcomers in Parivision have topped their group, taking everyone by surprise, whilst notable teams like Gaimin Gladiators, Heroic and others have crashed out of the tournament.
Let’s take a look at how things unfolded.
Eight teams have qualified for the next leg of DreamLeague Season 24 – Group Stage 2. Parivision has been a pleasant surprise by topping Group A, an unexpected outcome considering the inclusion of other teams.
Team Liquid takes second place in Group A while Xtreme Gaming comes in at third place. BetBoom Team takes the last spot in the group as they edge out Gaimin Gladiators who crashed out in fifth place.
Team Falcons topped Group B, having the best stats in the tournament so far. They won five and drew two series in their flight to the top. Team Waska takes second place while Tundra Esports comes in at third place.
Waska edged out Tundra by a small margin on a technicality with both teams having the same stats after DreamLeague Season 24 Group Stage 1.
Team Spirit snags the fourth spot as the Eastern European team tries to establish a base for their newly minted team.
Eight teams bid farewell to DreamLeague Season 24 as they are eliminated from the event. Gaimin Gladiators, AVULUS, Nigma Galaxy, and Nouns Esports are the eliminated teams from Group A, while Talon Esports, Azure Ray, Heroic, and Palianytsia are the eliminated teams from Group B.
Gaimin Gladiators’ elimination is a surprise as they seem to be having trouble finding their rhythm since changing a player. Heroic’s elimination after winning PGL Wallachia Season 2 raises doubts about staying consistent.
Nigma Galaxy and Nouns Esports are also finding it difficult to find their rhythm in the new season. Avulus also fumbles after a good start in the new season.
Group Stage 2 commences tomorrow as eight teams fight for four playoff spots. Stay tuned to BLAST for the latest Dota 2 updates.
