So, The International 2024 is around the corner. Recently, Valve released this year's Compendium and a new hero, Ringmaster, along with it. At The International 2024 Compendium, there's a mini-game featured in previous iterations of Battlepasses and Compendiums, Fantasy teams.
Fantasy Teams is the best place to do it if you want to farm your Compendium points. If you're new to the game and Fantasy teams, don't worry we've got you covered. Keep on reading this and you'll understand what it's all about.
If you're new to Dota 2 or this is your first experience with the compendium, you might be wondering what Fantasy is. First of all, congratulations – you've taken the first step toward your mental well-being.
Second, crafting your TI13 Fantasy teams is pretty much like fantasy teams in other sports. You pick some Dota 2 players from your roll and based on how your selected players perform in their matches, you will get points.
At the end of the day, these points will contribute towards your compendium level.
This year's fantasy is much like last year's. The players are categorized into three groups – Core, Mid and Support. For your team, you will need to pick three players, each from one group.
Our best tip here is that for the core role, pick a player from the Offlane role, as they will likely be in most skirmishes. For a midlaner, pick an active midlaner, someone like Quinn or Topson should do the trick. Pick a hard support for the support role.
However, an even better tip will be to choose players having the most number of series to play on a given day. Players scheduled to play more games will accrue more fantasy points at The International 2024.
Each player comes with a banner which consists of different stats for their particular role. These stats can be rerolled with the TI13 Compendium tokens. However, use the reroll tokens wisely as they are limited and you can only get them with earned levels.
Here's a trick to understand the fantasy better – the titles you will see on each player's banner come from their playstyle and hero pool. You can use the heroes tab from our website to check on statistics to gain some edge against your friends.
If competing in the TI13 Fantasy is not up your alley, there's another fun game in Compendium, Dota 2 Bingo. It's much like Bingo but with stuff that happens in Dota 2.
Also do note that Blast.tv has its own fantasy teams feature and unlike Valve's version, you don't have to buy a compendium to enjoy it. It's free for all of our visitors.
There are also exciting rewards to be won including free tickets to a BLAST event, Steam Gift Cards and more. Be sure to check it out under our Fantasy tab.
