Xtreme Gaming will represent China at the upcoming BLAST Slam II. Facing the world's elite Dota 2 teams and a $1,000,000 prize pool, they will strive for victory and aim to propel Chinese Dota to new heights.
After finishing in the top six at The International 2024, the team underwent a roster shuffle that saw most of its players either leaving or being moved to inactive with the famed Chinese star carry player Ame being the most notable departure.
Rebuilding the roster around Xm and Pyw, the team recruited Lou, Niu and Poloson to its rank towards the tail end of 2024. The roster’s first test was during the ESL One Bangkok 2024 closed qualifiers, where they lost narrowly to Gaozu in the grand final and missed out on attending the event.
However, BLAST Slam I proved to be the real litmus test. Being the only Chinese team, they carried the weight of an entire nation's expectations and secured a top-four finish, further solidifying their presence in the scene.
Xtreme Gaming also qualified for DreamLeague Season 25 and has ticked all the right boxes with its new roster. With a hunger for victory, they seek to surpass their previous achievements, capture their first trophy of 2025 by winning BLAST Slam II, and challenge the status quo.
They are a formidable opponent that cannot be underestimated, and they will undoubtedly bring a thrilling brand of Chinese Dota to BLAST Slam II on February 4, 2025.
