Parivision has been invited to participate in BLAST Slam II. Comprised of some of the most talented players from the CIS region, Parivision will want to build up on their momentum after winning ESL One Bangkok 2024 in December.
They will fight against nine elite teams for a mammoth $1,000,000 prize pool in Slam’s unique tournament format – which has garnered widespread praise from the Dota 2 community, broadcast talent and pro players alike.
Parivision is a fearsome adversary that has shown exemplary consistency across numerous tournaments. They have secured a top-four finish in all tournaments they have participated in since formation, surprising many, if not all, in the process.
They also secured a top-four finish at Slam I, defeating household names like Heroic and Team Liquid in the playoffs, before losing to BetBoom Team in the semi-finals. Interestingly, they were the only team to defeat BetBoom in the group stage, the eventual winners of the inaugural BLAST Slam.
Parivision heads into the tournament with a slight change in its lineup. Following their ESL One Bangkok victory in December, Crystallis has been benched, and Satanic, on loan from Team Spirit, has been brought in. This move caught many by surprise with the primary reason for the roster change being cited as a language barrier.
Satanic's short tenure at Team Spirit was marked by significant growth. He quickly transitioned from a rookie player to a formidable opponent and performed well across numerous tournaments. However, when Yatoro’s return to Team Spirit was imminent, it was time for Satanic to script a new chapter.
All eyes will be on Satanic and Parivision at BLAST Slam II. Will this roster change yield good results? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, stay tuned to BLAST for more updates with the second season set to begin on February 4, 2025.
