Everything you need to know if you're attending the BLAST.tv Austin Major playoffs

The BLAST.tv Austin Major playoffs are finally here.

After three incredible stages and some of the most memorable maps in Major history, eight of the best teams in the world will enter Austin's Moody Center with one only one goal in mind: writing their name into Counter-Strike history for the rest of time.

If you're going to be joining us in the arena for the event, we've put together this guide so that you know everything you'll need to before you get here. Below you'll find information about traveling, prohibited items, as well as a full schedule for the weekend.

HOW TO GET TO MOODY CENTER

Moody Center is located at 2001 Robert Dedman Dr, Austin, TX 78712

Parking

You can pre-purchase your parking spot at a variety of parking garages near Moody Center.

Due to large crowds and high traffic, be sure to leave early and give yourself plenty of time to arrive at the venue. Find more information on parking here: https://moodycenteratx.com/parking/

Rideshare

Public Transportation

Capital Metro is Austin’s public transportation provider, operating MetroBus, MetroRail, and more. Passengers traveling to Moody Center can take Capital Metro’s high-frequency Routes 7, 10 or 20. Plan your trip with CapMetro.

KEY INFORMATION

Individuals under 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Everyone attending the event needs a ticket, except for children aged 3 or younger. Valid photo ID may be required for entry.

Elements of the show could potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Attendee discretion is advised.

Be advised that the event will be broadcast and filmed by the event organizer. As an attendee, you may appear in these recordings.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items/actions are prohibited per the Moody Center’s guidelines:

• Weapons or explosives (including fake or replica weapons)
• Illegal drugs
• Alcoholic beverages
• Outside food or beverage (except factory-sealed water bottles, 17 oz. or less; limit 2 per person; non-metallic, refillable containers must be empty)
• Animals (except official ADA service animals)
• Bags not compliant with venue policy (e.g. briefcases, coolers, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage, oversized seat cushions, computer bags, camera bags, solid bags, or purses that violate the Clear Bag Policy)
• Hard coolers, ice chests, thermoses
• Electronic devices larger than a cell phone (e.g. laptops, iPads, tablets)
• Video equipment (including video cameras, tape recorders; GoPros allowed)
• Cameras with detachable lenses
• Selfie sticks or telescopic sticks
• Signs or banners that:
  • Are larger than 56 cm x 71 cm
  • Are not hand-held
  • Obstruct views or arena signage
  • Are on sticks or constructed of wood, metal, or other potentially harmful materials
  • Are not event-related, or are commercial, political, or offensive. This includes flags of any kind.
• Flag poles
• Laser pointers
• Mace or pepper spray
• Spiked or studded jewelry
• Skateboards, roller skates, scooters, hoverboards, bicycles, strollers
• Drones
• Musical instruments, megaphones, speakers
• Artificial noisemakers (whistles, bells, air horns, etc.)
• Large or distracting items (e.g. beach balls, other airborne objects)
• Large umbrellas (small, collapsible umbrellas that fit in pockets are permitted; larger ones must be left at the door at your own risk)
• Glass containers
• Unsliced fruits or vegetables
• Banners, Signs, and Flags that do not comply with the Code of Conduct
• Banners, signs, and flags that obstruct the view of guests or block arena signage
• Banners and signs constructed of wood, metal, or any other material that may cause harm to others as determined by stadium management
• Banners and signs that are not event-related
• Banners and signs that are commercial, political, or offensive in nature
• Signs that are not hand-held
• Signs on sticks

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

There will be partner activations along the concourse at the Moody Center, with activities, giveaways, and much more to engage with while you’re not enjoying the incredible Counter-Strike.

Red Carpet - Every day, teams will arrive through the Red Carpet, giving you the chance to see the players just before they enter the arena. Details can be found soon on the BLAST socials.

MERCH

There will be multiple merchandise booths selling BLAST.tv Austin Major merch, and some team merchandise in the Moody Center concourse. Details of which can be found at the merchandise booths and on BLAST socials.

If you have purchased a Merchandise Bundle Add-on, you can collect your Bundle from the merchandise pick-up point, which is located opposite the South West Gate Entrance, near the Main Merchandise Shop.

Please be ready to present your digital ticket, which will be scanned, in order for you to pick up your bundle.

EXPERIENCE PACKAGES

If you have purchased an experience package, please expect an email from the venue in the next 48 hours. This email includes timings and the location of the check in area. You must check-in in order to take part or collect any of the experience elements.

If you have not received this email 24 hours prior to the event, please contact the venue box office directly.

COSPLAYS

Cosplays are allowed at the arena, but must comply with the Moody Center rules, which do not allow any real or replica guns or weaponry. Costume masks must be removed for security screening, alcohol service, and when asked to do so by arena staff and management.
