The Austin Major was one of BLAST's biggest events of the year and created multiple records, beating 2023's Paris Major in viewership metrics. Peaking at 1,789,038 viewers on Grand Finals Sunday, viewers consuming 76,107,382 hours of content watched and 237,737,392 total views.
BLAST is now sharing new data on the record-breaking BLAST.tv Austin Major. The report was prepared by Angelou Economics and reveals that the Counter-Strike Major generated over $102 million in total economic impact, marking one of the most impactful esports events ever hosted in North America.
The BLAST.tv Austin Major featured 32 of the world’s top Counter-Strike teams competing for a $1.25 million prize pool, from June 3 to June 22, with June 19-22 taking place at a packed out Moody Center. The milestone event, in partnership with Live Nation, C3 Presents and the Austin Sports Commission, held over 40,000 attending in person with millions more watching online across 105+ territories in more than 30 languages.

BLAST now looks ahead to Fort Worth where they will host the BLAST Premier Rivals 2026 tournament from April 27 - May 3, 2026. This highly-anticipated event will bring together the best Counter-Strike teams from around the globe to compete for $1 million USD in prize pool and participation fees. The BLAST Premier Rivals will be played across five days, with the last three days played in front of a live audience in Dickies Arena.
