Legendary coach zonic has announced on Twitter that he has now officially departed Vitality for Falcons.
The five-time Major winning coach won his fifth and final CS:GO Major with the French organisation at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, but now looks to claim his first CS2 Major with the Saudi organisation.
First reported by KRL and later confirmed in an interview with Dexerto, zonic looks to be just the start of a number of blockbuster signings for a Falcons team that aims to take over Counter-Strike in the new game.
zonic has a record like no other in Counter-Strike history. A Major winner as a player in earlier iterations of the game, he coached Astralis to all four of their Major wins and Vitality to their first in the final Major of CS:GO.
He also coached Astralis to their win of the inaugural Intel Grand Slam and oversaw the dominance they had over the scene during 2018 and 2019.
The news of zonic linking up with Falcons was released a day after former Falcons coach Ozstrik3r bid farewell to the team, and could see more news about the new Falcons lineup come within the coming days and weeks.
Both Snappi and NiKo have been rumoured to be joining the team, although zonic has said that changes won't be made until he has had chance to "I need to evaluate all the players, have talks with them, see how they play, how they function."
