Welcome to Counter-Strike 2 - most of you who are invested into the game will have access by now, but plenty won't have their ten wins yet.
We've been hogging all the wins, you see.
Upon winning those ten games you'll be given a 'score', instead of the old-school rank system. It's a four or five-digit number (at le
ast, we hope you're not in three-digit territory...) that has more precision than the old system, as well as telling you how close you are to 'ranking up', as it were.
However, you might notice yourself getting stuck at 12,999, or 8,999 for now. No, it's not glitched - you have to win two 'promotion matches' to get into the next tier. For those of you who have played League of Legends, this might be familiar.
This system makes us think that these numbers - and the two 'promotion games' might have existed before without us being told.
Regardless, it's now obvious that you have to win two of these games to level up to really prove you deserve it.
For those of you who are uninitated, the new and improved Premier Mode involves a map veto system (meaning one has to be at least literate in every active duty map) and a leaderboard to show off your rank to your friends and compare yourself to the best of the best.
You will, of course, have to really prove yourself worthy as explained - so be careful of friends looking to sabotage you when you're in those promotion games..!
