Coastal Jungle in Windrose is where I spent my early hours figuring out how the game really works.
This is the starting biome, so almost everything you craft early on depends on what you find here.
All discoveries in the Coastal Jungle in Windrose
When I first started exploring Coastal Jungle, most of my time went into gathering basic materials. This area is simple, but it teaches you everything you need for crafting, survival, and progression. Copper is the most important resource here, and you will keep coming back for it.
These are the items I relied on the most in the early game, and you should focus on getting them quickly:
- Fast Travel Bell is one of the first things I crafted because moving around becomes much easier. You need Copper Ingot and Rope for it.
- Copper Ore is found in deposits across the biome, and I kept mining it whenever I saw one.
- Copper Ingot is made using Charcoal and Copper Ore, and it is used in almost every early recipe. You can also buy it from Tortuga Goods Seller using Piastre.
- Rough Hide drops from animals, and I collected it while hunting for food.
- Misty Orchid only appears near ruins at night, so I had to go out of my way to find it.

These discoveries helped me with survival, cooking, and basic building:
- Lamp is easy to craft and useful when exploring darker areas.
- Clay is found on beaches, and I used it a lot for building structures.
- Banana, Sweet Potato, and Cayenne Pepper are common food items I kept collecting for cooking.
- Dodo Egg comes from dodos or their nests, and it is easy to farm once you spot them.
- Undead Essence drops after defeating undead enemies, so I picked it up during fights.
- Healing Herbs and Rum Bottle can be bought from Tortuga Food Seller using Piastre.
- Steel Nails are available from Brethren at level 2, and I used them for crafting upgrades.
- Crab Shell can be purchased from Buccaneers and is useful later.
- Seeds like Banana Seeds, Palm Seeds, Ficus Seeds, and Shrub Seeds are scattered on the ground and help with farming.
