Battlefield 6's Season One update brings with it the long-rumored free-to-play battle-royale mode, RedSec, and the awaited Battle Pass.

From price, possible rewards, and every relevant date, here is the Battlefield 6 Battle Pass, explained.

Battlefield 6 Battle Pass Versions

The Battlefield 6 Battle Pass comes in three distinct versions: free, premium, and BF Pro. Here's how they differ:

• The free battle pass version will allow you to receive all rewards marked as free in the lists. Those include soldier skins, weapon skins, battlefield coins, xp boosts, and other cosmetics.
• The premium version will allow you to grind for everything included in the battle pass and will immediately unlock 6 rewards: three soldier skins, one weapon skin, a parachute skin, and a career XP boost. It will also boost all battle pass progression by 10%.
• BF Pro is the highest version of battle pass available and comes with everything already included with the paid version, six additional instant unlocks: one soldier skin, one tank skin, one weapon skin, one knife skin, an hardware xp booster, and a player card background. It also comes with 25 tier skips and an exclusive BF Pro path to be released later.

While the free version is, well, free, the two other versions are paid. The premium version costs 1000 BFC, you can buy 1100 BFC coins for 9,99€. The BF Pro tier costs 24,99€, but it will be immediately available for anyone who purchased the Phantom Edition (99,99€).

Battlefield 6 Battle Pass, Explained

You progress through the Battlefield 6 battle pass by earning battlepass tokens or by getting career XP. Tokens can be earned directly by completing weekly quests. Completing 7 weeklies in the same week will unlock a special mission which will reward 10 battlepass tokens.

Each token will advance one battle pass tier. At first, you will be locked into the Recruit path, and all your tokens will have to be invested into that. Once you've unlocked all 5 rewards, you will be allowed to choose between four non-linear paths:

• Rogue Operators
• Deniable Ops
• Soldiers Of Fortune
• Pacific Ghosts

You can change which path you have active at any point, so you can either all-in into one path at a time to unlock all rewards, or jump between them as you please. After completing these four paths, you will unlock access to the Ultimate path, and after you're done with that one, you will get access to the Prestige.

There will also be a special path exclusive to BF pro members, but that one hasn't been released yet. Additionally, two other paths will be released later.

California Resistance, featuring the DB 12 Shotgun as as free reward, will come out on November 18th and will only be available until December 9. Ice Lock will come out on December 9, including the teased Ice Pick as a free reward, and will be available to complete until the end of season 1, sometime in 2026. Outside of the California Resistance path, everything can be unlocked at any point until season 1 ends next year.
