
The Esports World Cup (EWC), organised by the Esports Foundation, has emerged as one of the world’s largest celebrations of competitive gaming, bringing together leading esports titles, players and teams on a global stage. As India continues to strengthen its presence at the tournament, JioBLAST has partnered with the Esports Foundation to amplify India-focused EWC content for Indian fans to follow the country’s participation and achievements at EWC 2026.

The Esports World Cup 2026, being held in Paris, brings together the world’s leading esports titles, teams and players across a multi-week celebration of competitive gaming. With India’s esports ecosystem continuing to expand, this year’s edition has already seen several strong performances from Indian players and organisations.
One of the biggest highlights for India has been its performance in PMWC, with two Indian teams Orangutan and Godlike Esports qualified for the PMWC Grand Finals at EWC 2026. Their qualification marks an important moment for the Indian competitive gaming ecosystem and puts Indian talent on one of the biggest esports stages globally.
Chess has also emerged as an important part of India’s EWC journey. Three Indian players from S8ul Esports Nihal Sarin, Pranesh Munirethinam and Aravindh Chithambaram along with Arjun Erigaisi from Gen G Esports competing in the EWC 2026, representing the country in the global competition and further highlighting the depth of Indian talent across different competitive gaming disciplines.
