Tundra Esports delivered a resounding victory over the mighty Team Falcons in the BLAST Slam III grand finals, securing their second BLAST Slam championship in a row. Let’s take a quick look at how things unfolded:
Tundra Esports and Team Falcons performed outstandingly well in the BLAST Slam III group stage, punching their tickets directly to the semifinals. Both dominated their rivals, Gaimin Gladiators and Team Spirit, in the semifinals, inching a step closer to the coveted trophy.
Tundra Esports started the best-of-five grand final on a strong footing, seizing an early 2-0 lead against a hungry Team Falcons, eager to claim their first trophy after a few rough months of struggle.
Team Falcons showed some glimpses of resilience in the next game, fighting back to win the third game and narrow Tundra Esports' lead in the grand final. However, Tundra Esports was unwilling to give Team Falcons any room to take flight and decided to clip their wings in the fourth game.
Through exceptional performances from Crystallis and Bzm in the fourth game, Tundra took the bull by the horns and defeated Team Falcons to win BLAST Slam III – their second consecutive Slam trophy.
Tundra Esports becomes the only team to win a BLAST event twice. We hope you enjoyed watching Slam III as much as we did. See you at BLAST Slam IV: Singapore.
