The ultimate day of BLAST Slam II is over. Tundra Esports dominates Gaimin Gladiators in the grand final to lift their second Dota 2 trophy of the season. With this victory, Tundra establishes itself as one of the best teams in the scene.
Both Tundra Esports and Gaimin Gladiators topped their respective groups during the group stage and booked a spot directly in the semifinals, thanks to BLAST’s unique tournament format that rewarded teams based on their performance.
Tundra defeated a resurgent Nigma Galaxy to book a spot in the grand final whereas Gaimin Gladiators decimated Team Falcons to set up the ultimate clash with Tundra. A storyline was building up – Tundra Esports vs. Gaimin Gladiators! Dyrachyo vs. Watson! The war was certainly on.
However, the grand final was a clean sweep for Tundra. They were clearly the better team, having completely outdrafted Gaimin Gladiators throughout the series, and being miles ahead in near-perfect execution of their strategies.
Despite showing glimpses of early game lead, Gaimin Gladiators couldn’t stop the later onslaught of Tundra, backed with flawless plays and synergy. Tundra won with a clean score of 3:0 with an average of 33 minutes per game.
Irrespective of the loss, Gaimin Gladiators finally seem to be clicking and might have potentially come out of their rut – a silver lining for the boys. They bow out with their heads held high and look forward to carrying the same momentum in the next tournament.
And, with this victory, Tundra Esports is the BLAST Slam II Champions – their second victory of the 2025 Dota 2 season.
