The Dota 2 TI13 West Europe (WEU) & East Europe (EEU) qualifiers are just around the corner with teams fighting for a spot for The International 2024 (TI 2024). Here’s everything you need on the qualifiers: teams, schedule, location, format and more.
The road to The International 2024 (TI13) begins in West Europe on June 5th, 2024. Aspiring Dota 2 teams can prove their mettle through a two-phase qualifier system. Uninvited teams battle through the Open Qualifiers for a chance to join the Closed Qualifiers, where 3 teams await.
West Europe Open Qualifiers #1 & #2:
Two teams from the Open Qualifiers will join the ten invited teams in the TI13 West Europe Closed/Regional Qualifiers.
West Europe (WEU) Closed Qualifiers:
The TI13 West Europe (WEU) Closed/Regional Qualifiers will have twelve teams competing for two spots for The International 2024 (TI 2024).
The road to The International 2024 (TI13) begins in East Europe on June 5th, 2024. Aspiring Dota 2 teams can prove their mettle through a two-phase qualifier system. Uninvited teams battle through the Open Qualifiers for a chance to join the Closed Qualifiers, where 3 teams await.
East Europe Open Qualifiers #1 & #2:
Three teams from the Open Qualifiers will join the ten invited teams in the TI13 West Europe Closed/Regional Qualifiers.
East Europe (EEU) Closed Qualifiers:
The TI13 East Europe (EEU) Closed/Regional Qualifiers will have twelve teams competing for only one spot for The International 2024 (TI 2024).
Teams list for the TI13 West Europe (WEU) Closed/Regional qualifiers:
Only two spots are reserved for West Europe at the International 2024 (TI 2024). West Europe has been home to multiple TI champions over the past years, such as OG and Tundra. It also houses other TI winners, such as Puppey, Kuroky, Miracle, Sumail, GH, and others.
Needless to say, the region is stacked with some of the best Dota 2 teams in the world fighting for a spot at TI13.
Determining the two favourites is difficult, but Tundra Esports and OG are the front runners to qualify for TI 2024. These two teams have played the most LAN tournaments this year and sit in a comfortable position to navigate through troubled waters compared to other teams.
However, Team Secret and Entity are gaining momentum, especially after qualifying for the Riyadh Masters 2024. Other notable teams like Mouz, Nigma Galaxy, and PSG Quest are also in the fray and might emerge as the dark horses.
Overall, it will be an uphill battle for all teams competing in the TI13 WEU Closed/Regional Qualifiers. West Europe has the most number of teams at TI13: 3 direct invites & 2 teams from the closed qualifiers.
Teams list for the TI13 East Europe (EEU) Closed/Regional qualifiers:
Virtus Pro looks poised to qualify for The International 2014 through the TI13 East Europe qualifiers, especially after their performance at The Riyadh Masters 2024 qualifiers, wherein they finished first and secured the only qualifying spot.
NAVI, while being a distant second to VP, also has the potential to qualify for TI13. However, some might argue that they have been inconsistent with their performances so far. They are struggling to close the games even after gaining a significant lead, as evident in the series against VP for the Riyadh Masters 2024 spot.
How things unfold at the Eastern European camp will be a surprise.
Details on the format and exact schedule for TI13 West Europe (WEU) and East Europe (EEU) qualifiers still need to be revealed. Although the schedule will be available once the open qualifiers are over, the format is likely similar to past TI qualifiers.
The format is likely to be the following:
The closed/regional qualifiers will be streamed on multiple streaming platforms and in different languages. The links can be found below:
