Team Spirit wins DreamLeague Season 25. They defeated Tundra Esports, denying them a third consecutive title, in a thrilling DDoS-laden grand finals that saw the series being rescheduled to a later date.
Team Spirit's trademark lower bracket magic was on full display, leading them to a championship win – their first of the 2025 season. They defeated Chimera Esports in the first round, and Parivision in the second round, of the lower bracket.
Parivision, who had just fallen to Tundra Esports in the upper bracket finals, couldn’t stand up against a formidable Team Spirit and had to settle for the third place in the tournament.
The grand final was an interesting five-game affair. The series delivered everything: pure excitement, explosive hype, and an epic battle between an established behemoth and a sleeping giant. The first three games saw both teams showcasing their prowess, with Team Spirit taking a 2-1 lead after an exhausting third game.
However, an unexpected dilemma plagued the fourth game. DDoS!
Team Spirit players were under the heavy threat of DDoS, making them unable to play the remainder of the series. Eventually, the organizers decided to reschedule the remaining games on March 4, 2025, in a bid to conclude DreamLeague Season 25.
The play resumed with Tundra winning the fourth game and tying the series. However, Team Spirit marched to victory in the final game to win DreamLeague Season 25. This victory marks Team Spirit’s first trophy of the season while Tundra settles for the second place.
But that’s not all. The show must go on.
