Team Liquid wins PGL Wallachia Season 3 after a thumping victory over Tundra Esports to claim its first trophy of the season. The victory came at a crucial time when the defending The International champions struggled to find their form in the new season.
Team Liquid’s performance throughout PGL Wallachia Season 3 has been phenomenal. They were unbeaten in the group stage and came first after three clean victories against Natus Vincere, Aurora and Tundra Esports.
They started their playoffs campaign against Aurora in the upper bracket and successfully defeated them to qualify for the next round. In the next round, Team Liquid faced Xtreme Gaming and quickly outwitted the Chinese team to secure a place in the upper bracket finals.
In the upper bracket finals, Team Liquid continued to dominate against the formidable Team Falcons, who have been struggling lately. Team Liquid rounded up the latter in a clean 2:0 victory, thus becoming the first grand finalist at the Dota 2 tournament.
The grand finals saw Team Liquid pursue their first title of the season against Tundra Esports, who made their sixth straight grand final appearance. Liquid seized an early and decisive advantage, securing two consecutive wins and establishing a commanding lead over Tundra.
Tundra managed to win the third game but that wasn’t enough to stop Team Liquid’s newfound form as the latter went on to win the fourth game and seal the tournament championship.
With this victory, Team Liquid has won its first Dota 2 championship of 2025, while Tundra continues to be a consistent force.
