PGL Wallachia Season 2 returns to Bucharest, Romania this October. Building on a smashing debut, PGL’s flagship Dota 2 tournament returns for season 2 with sixteen of the world’s best Dota 2 teams vying for glory and a slice of the hefty $1,000,000 prize pool.

PGL Wallachia Season 2 is strategically positioned just two weeks after The International 2024 (TI13), the crown jewel Dota 2 event.
It will be exciting to watch new Dota 2 teams compete in the aftermath of the post-TI shuffle, as the tournament becomes a thrilling test ground for new strategies and rising stars.
The qualifiers for the PGL Wallachia Season 2 will be held in August, as mentioned above, prior to the start of The International 2024 (TI13).
PGL Wallachia Season 2 Tournament Format
Group Stage:
- Total 16 teams will kick off the PGL Wallachia Season 2 Group Stage in Swiss format
- Ten invited teams
- Six teams from Open and Closed Qualifiers
- Eight teams advance to the Playoffs while the remaining teams are eliminated
Playoffs:
- Top eight teams from the group stage compete in a double-elimination bracket
- All matches will be best-of-three (Bo3)
- Grand Finals will be best-of-five (Bo5)
PGL has incorporated the Swiss format group stage in this flagship Dota 2 tournament, thus bringing in excitement, and guaranteeing the viewers a relentless marathon of epic competition.
The group stage will be followed by intense playoffs, offering the fans a delightful treat to their sore eyes.
