After a gruelling Swiss format group stage, only eight teams advance to the PGL Wallachia Season 1 Playoffs, with the remaining teams eliminated.
The advancing teams will compete in the playoffs in a double-elimination bracket format, with all eight teams starting in the upper bracket.
A loss would mean getting sent to the lower bracket with a chance to battle their way backwards to the grand finals.
However, a loss in the lower bracket would mean elimination from the tournament. The third time’s not the charm, eh?
The Grand Finals will be a best-of-five affair, with the winner claiming the lion’s share of the prize pool ($300,000) and being crowned the inaugural PGL Wallachia Season 1 Dota 2 champions.
