L1GA Team has secured a spot at the main event of the PGL Wallachia Season 2 after defeating Passia UA in the grand finals of the Eastern Europe (EEU) qualifiers. They win the series with a 3:1 score and join their regional comrades Team Spirit as the second EEU representative.
L1GA Team’s journey at the PGL Wallachia Season 2 EEU qualifiers is as straight as an arrow. They registered quick victories against Five Beavers and Yellow Submarine before moving on to the upper bracket final to face Passion UA.
Passion UA, on the other hand, bested NAVI and Night Pulse to set up a finals clash in the upper bracket against the L1GA Team. However, Passion lost and was sent to the lower bracket where they would eventually have a rematch with NAVI, only to defeat the once legendary org again.
After knocking NAVI out of contention in the lower bracket finals of the PGL Wallachia Season 2 EEU qualifiers, Passion UA was ready to challenge the might of L1GA again. However, the grand final was a repeat of the upper bracket final as the status quo remained unchanged.
L1GA secured their place in the PGL Wallachia Season 2 with a convincing grand final victory over Passion UA. Despite Passion UA's game-three win, L1GA's early 2-0 lead proved insurmountable. The team's composure was evident throughout the series, ultimately earning them the qualification spot.
Once a legendary household name in the Dota 2 scene, NAVI finds itself in a precarious position to reclaim its lost glory. The International 2011 winner still struggles to find its foothold in the scene for the past few years.
A roster change seems imminent because the Ukrainian org has failed to qualify for important events with their performance being dismal throughout the year. Failing to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024 (TI13) was worrisome enough but not being able to qualify for next season’s first LAN event might just be the final nail in the coffin.
