Dota 2 Patch 7.37b adjusts some heroes and items just as teams prepare for The International 2024 (TI13). The gameplay update is sure to ruffle some feathers and bring additional excitement to the Dota 2 scene.
Biggest item updates in Patch 7.37b
Kaya gets a significant nerf in patch 7.37b update as its benefits no longer stacks with other Kaya-based items like Yasha and Kaya, Kaya and Sange or Meteor Hammer. It no longer provides mana regen or spell lifesteal amplification.
In addition, Gleipnir’s Eternal Chains radius has been slightly decreased and Ironwood Tree’s cast range, the returning neutral item, has been directly decreased by half from 800 to 400.
That’s all the item changes in the latest Dota 2 patch.
Biggest hero buffs in 7.37b
With more than 50% of heroes being affected by the latest gameplay update, we have shortlisted a few heroes that have received significant buffs in Dota 2 Patch 7.37b:
- Bane: Bane’s facet “Sleepwalk” has been buffed with Nightmare’s walk speed being increased from 75 to 85. Additionally, level 25 talent Brain Sap Heal/Damage is also increased.
- Beastmaster: Inner Beast’s bonus attack speed per unit is increased by 1 second making his ability “Wild Hunt” even more deadly.
- Death Prophet: Both her facets “Suppress” and “Spirit Collector” have received buffs. Silence’s movement speed slow and Exorcism’s hero spirit damage has been increased.
- Mirana: Mirana has received massive buffs in 7.37b as compared to other heroes. Solar Flare’s time to max damage/attack speed has been decreased by 2 seconds. However, it’s her Starstorm and Sacred Arrow which have become more powerful. Starstorm’s secondary strike damage and radius has been increased whereas Sacred Arrow’s Aghanim buff is increased by 5%.
- Troll Warlord: Troll’s “Bad Influence” facets Battle Trance attack speed has been increased from 30% to 40%. Good luck, Chuck!
- Witch Doctor: WD’s “Cleft Death” facet has become even more lethal. His ultimate, Death Ward, now has a primary and secondary target. Damage to the primary target has been increased from 45/70/95 to 55/90/125 while the secondary target takes damage equal to 65% of the primary target.
Other heroes to receive significant buffs are Alchemist, Anti-mage, Clockwerk, Enchantress and Magnus.
Biggest hero nerfs in 7.37b
Few popular meta heroes have been nerfed significantly in the Dota 2 patch 7.37b:
- Ember Spirit: The flame component of the Spirit brothers has received a lot of nerfs to his arsenal. His “Immolation” innate is nerfed since the damage debuff no longer has a linger duration and the damage is also decreased. Sleight of Fiest’s cooldown is increased by 1s across each level. His talent tree at levels 10 and 20 is also hammered down.
- Sven: The charismatic Rogue Knight has not been spared either although it’s not as harsh as Ember Spirit. The hero was widely popular as a support in the current meta with his ability “Warcry” amplifying the armour and movement speed of his allies. However, Warcry was affected by the nerf hammer because the cooldown has been increased by 5s across each level.
- Tinker: Pew! Pew! Tinker doesn’t have it good in this gameplay update because his facet “Repair Bots” has been tweaked but on the nerf side. His March of the Machines heal per second decreases with an increase in levels. Additionally, the mana cost of the March of the Machines and Defense Matrix is also increased.
