The above 16 teams have been invited to compete in the Dota 2 Elite League Season 2. Tundra Esports and PSG Quest were part of the original invite list but were replaced by Cuyes Esports and Fusion due to visa issues.
The format of Elite League Season 2 is divided into three phases – Swiss Stage (Group Stage 1), Round-Robin Stage (Group Stage 2) and the Playoffs.

The event will be held offline in Lima, Peru at the ESAN Centro de Convenciones.
The Dota 2 Elite League Season 2 prize pool is a whopping $800,000. However, an additional $200,000 will be distributed to the participating teams in proportion to their viewership during the main event.
