BOOM Esports has announced its return to Southeast Asia (SEA) with a new Dota 2 roster consisting of familiar faces for the upcoming season. The Indonesian-based esports organization returns to its roots after spending a year in the South American region.
BOOM esports announced its new Dota 2 lineup in a series of roster reveals starting with the signing of Saieful ‘Fbz’ Ilham, the popular Indonesian player who previously played for Nigma Galaxy. This move also marks Fbz’s return to BOOM after having played for the team in its successful run in 2022 where they were the torch-bearers for SEA.
Joining him is Timothy ‘TIMS’ Randrup, also returning to the team, after being part of the successful 2022 iteration. He previously played for Blacklist International before the organization decided to reassess its future in the scene.
Two more players join the pack on a trial basis; Daniel "Ghost" Chan and Mc "Mac" Villanueva, bringing the much-needed firepower. They played for Nigma Galaxy and Geek Fam previously.
The last two entrants joining BOOM Esports’ Dota 2 roster are the Southeast Asian (SEA) legends; Djardel ‘DJ’ Mampusti and Chai ‘Mushi’ Yee Fung. The former returns as position 5 while the latter takes the mantle of coach.
DJ has been part of the storied Fnatic lineup and is touted as one of the game's best support players, whereas Mushi needs no introduction. Both individuals bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.
