BetBoom and Tundra storm into the BLAST Slam I semifinals!
The Playoffs bracket for the inaugural BLAST Slam I is set with BetBoom and Tundra advancing to the semifinals. Team Falcons suffered a major upset, finishing last in the group stage and dropping to the lower bracket of the gauntlet stage.
Here’s a quick recap of how the group stage went:
BetBoom Team tops Group A
BetBoom Team roared through Group A, securing three decisive victories and sending a chilling warning to their opponents. Their only defeat came against the upstart Parivision and thus advanced directly to the semifinals
Xtreme Gaming secured second place, surprising everyone with their strong performance. They engaged in an absolute thriller against Team Falcons and defeated them in the biggest upset of the day. However, due to their loss against BetBoom, they settle for second place because of head-to-head matchups.
While Parivision and Team Falcons registered equal wins and losses, the former came out on top because of the Neustadtl tiebreaker method. Parivision claims the third spot, while Team Falcons settle for fourth, both starting with a significant disadvantage compared to the top two.
In the meantime, Heroic finishes last in the group stage and will start their playoff run in the eliminator (lower bracket) with a disappointing performance overall.
Tundra Esports dominate Group B
Tundra Esports secure a semifinal berth after topping Group B undefeated, including a seamless win over the reigning TI champions Team Liquid in a closely contested battle. Their new roster has shown incredible synergy, making them a formidable team.
Team Liquid has secured second place with a 3:1 score in the group stage. While they had a promising start, their early performance was inconsistent. However, as the day unfolded, they rediscovered their rhythm and played at their usual high level.
Gaimin Gladiators finish third in Group B with a 2-2 record, showing signs of improvement with their new roster. Their losses have come against Tundra and Liquid, the top two teams in the group, and will be required to perform even better.
Team Spirit and OG Esports occupy the bottom two spots in Group B. Spirit’s only win comes against a weakened OG, a stark contrast to their performance at other tournaments, where they have secured a podium finish. However, OG goes winless and will face Team Falcons in the lower bracket eliminator.

The first day of the playoffs will feature two best-of-three elimination matches. Team Spirit will take on Heroic, while Team Falcons will face OG Esports. The winners of these matches will advance to the next round to face Parivision and Gaimin Gladiators, respectively.
