Team Liquid is invited to BLAST Slam II

The reigning TI champions, Team Liquid, are set to compete at BLAST Slam II. They look forward to making a statement and reasserting their dominance against the best Dota 2 teams in the world.

Team Liquid has been a cornerstone of the Dota 2 competitive scene since the early days. Their enduring presence and rich legacy have solidified their status as one of the most respected teams in the game. They have been performing on a sombre note ever since winning The International 2024.

In the inaugural BLAST Slam season, they secured a top-six finish, advancing directly to the quarterfinals. However, they were defeated by Parivision in the playoffs despite a strong group-stage performance. Nonetheless, they quickly bounced back in the next event, ESL One Bangkok 2024, the last tournament of 2024.

After a near-early exit from the group stage in Bangkok, Team Liquid had an incredible lower-bracket run in the playoffs, defeating Shopify Rebellion, Team Falcons, Team Spirit and BetBoom Team in the process and advancing to the grand final.

However, a heartbreaking 1:3 defeat at the hands of Parivision in the grand final crushed their hopes of lifting the last trophy of the year.

After a much-needed break, Team Liquid is eager to rediscover its winning formula and entertain fans with its characteristically cheeky and endearing gameplay.

Their success is built on the unwavering bond between Insania, Boxi, and Micke, who have stuck through thick and think with each other for years. Nisha's exceptional skills have further elevated the team's already-loaded arsenal while Saberlight’s addition has significantly strengthened the roster, making Team Liquid a formidable force on paper.

Under Blitz’s guidance, Insania and Co. will try to usher in a new era for the organisation and leave a lasting imprint, especially at BLAST Slam II on February 4, 2025.
