Team Falcons joins the elite list of teams competing at BLAST Slam II boasting a staggering prize pool of $1,000,000. The Falcons have largely cemented their place as a favourite in any tournaments they participate in.
Demonstrating exemplary consistency, they have consistently achieved podium finishes, boasting seven first-place victories, two second-place finishes, two third-place finishes, and a fourth-place finish at The International 2024.
However, the last two tournaments have been a bit disappointing for the Falcons. They secured a 7th-8th place finish at BLAST Slam I and a 5th-6th place finish at ESL One Bangkok 2024 – an unlikely outcome for such a ferocious team.
After a slump in form at the inaugural Slam, they quickly bounced back at ESL One Bangkok 2024, securing a top finish in the group stage. It was a different story once they entered the playoffs, losing to BetBoom Team in the upper bracket and Team Liquid in the lower bracket, in a closely contested series.
Team Falcons stand out as one of the few to have an unchanged roster, weathering highs and lows, and choosing to remain together, given their exceptional team chemistry and the wealth of talent within their stacked lineup.
With a much-needed break, they look poised to make a statement in the new year and are eager to quench their thirst and return to winning ways – a term that has become synonymous with the Team Falcons Dota 2 lineup.
BLAST Slam II begins on February 4, 2025, and it promises to be a much grander affair than its predecessor with unrivalled production quality and viewing experience and a unique format to keep the fans entertained.
