Talon Esports will participate in BLAST Slam II, representing Southeast Asia (SEA) to lift the region's first trophy in 2025. They will compete for a massive prize pool of $1,000,000 alongside the best Dota 2 teams in the world.
While boasting some of the best players in the region, Talon Esports is having difficulty making strides on the international stage. However, after a disappointing performance at The International 2024, the team made a few changes.
They solidified the roster by adding Kuku and Natsumi, two proven regional talents, and roped in March as the head coach. With these changes, Talon seeks to reclaim its position as a dominant force in SEA and make an impact internationally.
While the revamped lineup has shown early promise, there's still significant room for improvement and several areas that require fine-tuning. But with the dynamic duo of March and Kuku at the helm, the road looks much easier for Talon to navigate.
They won the MESA Invitational and have qualified for the Fissure Playground #1 but also missed out on qualifying for DreamLeague Season 25, losing to Boom Esports, and engaging in a tug-of-war-like situation to become a SEA staple alongside Aurora.
Talon’s expressive game style is exciting to watch, especially for the fans, and it will certainly add a colourful flavour at BLAST Slam II. Can Talon hold against the elite and ring in a new era for the team in the new year?
In the meantime, prepare for the ultimate showdown beginning on February 4, 2025, and stay tuned to BLAST for more information.
