Nigma Galaxy and Team Falcons have secured their spots in the BLAST Slam II semifinals. Nigma Galaxy's impressive run continues, exceeding expectations, while Team Falcons advanced with relative ease.
Let’s take a look at the BLAST Slam II quarterfinals recap.
Nigma Galaxy’s impressive run in BLAST Slam II continued as they defeated Parivision in the quarterfinals with a 2:1 score. All three games were exciting and filled with intense moments, a sure-shot way to keep the Dota 2 fans engaged.
In the first game, we witnessed unparalleled aggression from Nigma Galaxy. The King, Sumail, popped off again with an enchanting performance on Earthshaker. Combine that with No!ob’s unmatched gameplay on Timbersaw and Ghost’s impeccable display on Gyrocopter, the end was inevitable for Parivision.
Parivision was completely outdrafted and outplayed by Nigma and having no respite in sight, they had to call it quits, thus losing the first game. It seemed as if Nigma was on steroids and playing out of their minds.
The second game was extremely close as Parivision cleverly outwitted Nigma. It was the ultimate battle between the two carries – Satanic’s Templar Assassin and Ghost’s Morphling. Both played really well and held the fort for as long as they could, but it was Satanic’s tempo that inflicted the most damage and breached through Nigma’s defenses.
Sumail was brutally shut down in the second game and that was enough for Parivision to take advantage of and end Ghost’s beyond-godlike streak. It also led to Satanic buying a Divine Rapier on TA and that was the end of Nigma in the second game.
However, the third game was a nightmare for Parivision. Once again, Ghost’s clutch performance on Phantom Assassin led Nigma to a decisive victory. Ghost scaled really hard in the game, securing 19 kills and averaging 795 GPM (Gold Per Minute), outfarming Satanic’s Dragon Knight by nearly twice the margin.
It was a done deal for Nigma Galaxy as they won the series and booked their spot in the semifinals.
Team Falcons have made a statement and a strong one at that. They decimated Yakult Brothers in two straight games. The first game was over in 17 minutes and was an absolute stomp with a scary 21:4 scoreline in favour of Team Falcons.
The second game was more or less the same. Team Falcons once again stomped Yakult Brothers, not nearly as the first one, and marched to victory on the back of strong performances from Malr1ne and ATF. The Chinese team couldn’t replicate their group stage performance and have been eliminated from BLAST Slam II.

The BLAST Slam II semifinals begin today, with four teams vying for the two grand final spots. Here’s what today’s matchups look like:
