BetBoom Team defeats Gaimin Gladiators to win FISSURE Universe: Episode 4

BetBoom Team has emerged victorious in the FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 Dota 2 tournament, delivering a decisive 3-0 sweep against Gaimin Gladiators in the grand final. This win marks a significant triumph for the Eastern European Dota 2 powerhouse as they secure their first trophy of the year.

Despite a somewhat shaky performance during the group stage, where they survived through the skin of their teeth, BetBoom Team showcased remarkable resilience and made great strides in the playoffs. They only dropped one game throughout the playoff portion of the tournament, against Gaimin Gladiators in the upper bracket finals, demonstrating a clear upward trajectory in their performance.

They met Gaimin Gladiators in the grand final for a rematch after the latter eliminated Team Tidebound in the lower bracket finals. Looking for vengeance, Gaimin marched into the grand final to outwit their comrades from Eastern Europe, but they were awaiting a reality check.

BetBoom Team dominated Gaimin Gladiators throughout the series – a stark contrast to their performance during the group stage – and didn’t give any chance to the latter to make a comeback. It was over from the start for Gaimin as BetBoom wasn’t about to give up on their momentum.

With this victory, BetBoom Team secured the lion's share of the $500,000 prize pool, taking home $250,000. While the Gaimin Gladiators fought commendably, they could not counter BetBoom Team's momentum. This second-place finish adds to their list of runner-up placements this year.
