Virtus.pro shocked people at the start of the rostermania by benching Jame, however, this next move was more expected.
The organisation has announced the benching of n0rb3r7, the second time he has been moved to the bench since signing for the team in 2022.
The last time he was benched was for a three-month spell in 2023, although he was reinstated after his replacement, KaiR0N-, didn't work out.
n0rb3r7 orginally signed for Virtus.pro in May 2022 after a two-year stint on K23.
The team soon found success after he joined, pulling off an unlikely run to win the IEM Rio Major while still playing as Outsiders.
Prior to that event, they also won ESL Challenger Rotterdam, with the two trophies being the the first of five he would lift during his time with The Bears.
2023 brought more trophies, with another ESL Challenger victory coming in Katowice. VP would win the Roobet Cup 2023, an online tournament, before rounding out their year with their third and final ESL Challenger win, in Atlanta.
n0rb3r7 was often criticised for his form as VP struggled to recreate that trophy-winning form in 2024. Recording a 0.97 rating for the year, the rating was a heavy decrease from the 1.05 he had the year before.
In his final year on VP, n0rb3r7's best placings with the team were at BLAST Premier Spring Final and the Esports World Cup, where Virtus.pro were eliminated in the semi-finals of both events.
With plenty of changes set to be made to Virtus.pro in the wake of Jame's removal, it's expected that n0rb3r7 won't be making as swift of a return to the active roster as he did last time.
