Vitality take down NAVI in two to advance to the semi-finals

Vitality may have opened their Major campaign with a loss to Legacy, but it's been going pretty well for them in Austin ever since.

Their latest game, a quarter-final versus NAVI, was another victory for them, a BO3 in which they won 2-0 after wins on Mirage and Nuke.

Let's take a look at the action.

Vitality open with a win on Mirage

Despite winning pistol round, it looked like NAVI would instantly respond after some crisp shots from jL and w0nderful. Left in a 1v3, it was mezii who came through to save it for his team.

NAVI still had the better of the first half for the most part, but it was the UK king who came up big once more to level the scores at 6-6.

flameZ may have had a rough first half as he ended the first twelve rounds at 3-9, but he brought it back in a big way in the second half, and it was his 3K that managed to secure the map for Vitality at 13-9.

flameZ pulled it back to 10-15 when it was all said and done, but it was the trio of ropz, ZywOo, and mezii that really made the difference. The three players combined for 48 kills on the first map, with each of them having massive impact to give Vitality the advantage in the series.

Vitality seal semis on Nuke

Heading into map two, the analyst desk wasn't feeling confident at all about NAVI's chances for getting back into the series.

It probably went better for NAVI than they thought it would, Vitality needed all the rounds in order to seal the win, but it was never really in doubt as they kicked off Nuke with a 7-5 T half.

10-6 up, Vitality did look like they'd storm the map, but mainly because mezii was hitting some silly shots like this.

NAVI did claw some rounds back, though, but Vitality's captain apEX was on hand to keep his team in the lead.

11-12, NAVI's A hit looked destined to send them to OT, but it was that man mezii who showed up once again to instead send them packing.
