Vitality may have suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Eternal Fire at ESL Pro League Season 20, but they have today dished out an embarrassing defeat as they demolished Astralis to kick off their BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 campaign.
A blink-and-you'll-miss-it series that involved a 13-0 on map one, it was a real statement of intend from the BLAST.tv Paris Major winners.
Inferno started with a bang as flameZ chased cadiaN in the 1v1 to secure an opening round win for his team.
The obligatory ZywOo highlight came just three rounds later, he mopped up Astralis as they attempted to take his A site.
Spinx then pulled off a multi-kill of his own, coming through a CT smoke on B to take down three.
There was one more for good measure, too. flameZ took down four in rapid succession to defend B.
13-0 when it was all said and done, cadiaN would've been hoping for a much better debut with his new team.
Astralis manage to do a little better on Dust2, they at least picked up four rounds.
stavn pulled off a highlight for one of those, three quick kills in Mid to secure his team's second.
His former HEROIC teammate then helped to secure Astralis' fourth and final round at 4-3, clutching up to defend the A site.
However, from there it was plain sailing for Vitality, and they closed out the map 13-4 thanks to 18 kills from Spinx.
