We've had plenty of big changes to CS2 in 2025.
First, Train was added back to the map pool in place of Vertigo, and now further changes will have huge gameplay implications.
Those changes, which will take place next week, were revealed by Valve overnight, so let's take a look at them.
The big announcement was that Premier Season 2 will begin next week.
Premier has been a huge part of CS2 so far, but what will the new season mean for players?
Players will have their ranks re-calibrated, and will have to win ten games in order to receive a new Premier Rating.
They also announced that Season 2 will be much shorter than Season 1, coming to an end after the BLAST.tv Austin Major. Players who win at least 25 matches will also receive a medal for their efforts, with the colour of that medal representing the Rating they achieved within the season.
Although the changes coming to CT weapons have not yet fully been revealed, Valve did give us a hint at what is coming in both their blog post and on Twitter.
First, we have news that will bring M4A4 enjoyers cause to rejoice: the price is being lowered once more.
When the update drops, the M4A4 will be available for $2900, bringing it in line with the M4A1-S.
In the blog post, they stated that there will also be changes to the FAMAS, meaning that it might actually be close to as relevant to a game as the Galil.
The blog post reads:
"The FAMAS has some improvements to its standing and crouching accuracy (along with a price cut)"
We'll have to wait to find out what that change is, but it will be a welcome one whatever it is.
