We're almost at the end of BLAST Premier World Final 2024 and we now know who our two finalists will be.
Earlier today, G2 took down Vitality to book their chance to win the trophy they previously won in 2022, and now Spirit will have a chance to win their second BLAST trophy of the year after defeating Astralis in the second semi-final of the day.
A series with three dominant map wins, let's take a look at the action.
Spirit started off strong on Dust2, but how could they not when donkw as hitting shots like these?
Still, Astralis fought back, and Spirit were limited to just a 7-5 lead at the break.
However, they turned on the gas in the second half, and donk's 20 kills saw them take the map 13-5.
They won the map in style, too. Spirit converted a 3v5 to gain an advantage in the series.
After their confident showing against MOUZ, we knew we had a game on our hands when Astralis picked Vertigo.
Spirit may have looked dominant on Dust2, but it the tables were turned on Vertigo. Astralis constantly found gaps in the Spirit defense to secure themselves a 9-3 lead from their T side.
And that wasn't device's only highlight, he pulled off a 1v3 to secure an eighth round for the Danes.
13-3 when it was all said and done, a four-round sweep from Astralis saw them pick up a flawless CT side to force us to a deciding map.
Astralis kept their momentum going into the first round of Ancient, although chopper and sh1ro certainly made them sweat as they almost pulled off a 2v5.
You can't keep Spirit down for long though. They fought back hard and within a flash they'd already secured map and series point.
They wrapped it up just two rounds later, with sh1ro's 19 kills being the deciding factor as Spirit took Ancient 13-5.
