MIBR take down the Major champions Shanghai Elimination Stage round two recap
The Elimination Stage may have seen the arrival of the big boys in Shanghai, but two of them have already been upset as both G2 and Spirit lost in the opening round.
The upsets just kept on coming, too. NAVI took a huge loss to MIBR as the Brazilians continued their march to the Majors playoffs.
All that and more, let's recap the action.
Liquid edge out GamerLegion
GamerLegion were sent to the 0-2 bracket in the RMR, and now they have been once more in the Elimination Stage as they fell 13-10 to Liquid on Inferno.
A pretty even game from the offset, YEKINDAR finished as Liquid's highest rated player on 1.33 despite not even having a positive KD.
The Latvian fragger finished 16-17, paving the way for volt to top frag on 20.

FURIA began the Elimination Stage with a huge upset win over Spirit, but they couldn't repeat the heroics as they took on Vitality in their 1-0 game.
Despite that, it remained close, Vitality needed 30 rounds in order to get the best of the Brazilians on Mirage.
ZywOo topped the scoreboard, he ended the map on 24 kills to continue to make his mark on the Major.

Spirit never really got out of the gates in their opening game against FURIA, but they flipped the script to win their second match without even giving Wildcard a chance.
13-6 on Ancient, donk shone once more, but he had to share the limelight with two of his teammates.
Ending the game on 18 kills, he sat at the top of the scoreboard alongside zont1x and sh1ro, who both also ended on 18.

The MongolZ have been on fire in Shanghai, and they didn't stop as they met MOUZ in the 1-0 bracket.
After already picking up one upset win against G2 in their opening game, they did so again as they took MOUZ down 16-13 on Mirage.
A game dominated by AWPers, torzsi topped the scoreboard for MOUZ with 24 kills, but it's 910 who will take the headlines as he closed it out on 28.

Coming back from that opening defeat was always going to be big for G2, and they did so in style as they swept BIG aside with a 13-5 scoreline.
A match contested on Mirage, m0NESY topped the scoreboard on 21 kills.
NiKo also put in a strong performance, he picked up 15 in what could prove to be one of his final games for the Samurai.

A team many would have predicted to go 0-3 in the Elimination Stage, MIBR now find themselves on the bring of the playoffs after an incredible 13-11 win against the Major champions, NAVI.
Fought on Inferno, insani starred, he went 24-15 to give the Brazilians their biggest win yet.

In another close game, paiN were sent down to the 0-2 bracket by 3DMAX as the French side won 13-11 on Dust2.
lux put in a solid performance for the Brazilians with 21 kills, but that wasn't to be enough as Lucky's 22 secured the win for the Frenchmen.
paiN now have a tough game to keep themselves in the Major, they'll face BIG in tomorrow's matches.
HEROIC go 2-0 with win over FaZe
HEROIC are a dark horse over in Shanghai, and if a win in their opening match wasn't enough to convince you, a solid win over FaZe should be.
13-8 on Ancient, FaZe couldn't rely on rain like they had against WIldcard in this one, his 16 kills were outshone by TeSeS on 21.
HEROIC now have an incredibly tough game in the 2-0 bracket, they take on The MongolZ with the Mongolians looking like the strongest team in the competition.
