It's Major heartbreak day, and today we saw one of the biggest upsets in Major history.
That's in no way talking down to HEROIC, they're really good right now, but knocking NAVI out of the competition is a huge scalp for them to take into the playoffs.
Let's recap the action.
MIBR pulled off some big wins to go 2-0 in the Elimination Stage, but that was as good as it got as they were knocked out on the final day.
A dominant 2-0 from MOUZ, it began with a 13-5 on Mirage and then swiftly ended as the young squad took MIBR's map pick and won 13-6 on Nuke.
An incredible 38-19 performance from Brollan, MOUZ will need the Swede to continue that form as they take on The MongolZ in the quarter-finals.
NAVI came into the tournament as the favourite to win it, but now they exit without even making it to the playoffs.
A 2-1 series in favour of HEROIC, kyxsan's team opened with a dominant 13-3 scoreline on Mirage but were pinned back 13-5 on Nuke. However, they managed to recover on the third map, they took Ancient 13-9 to knock out NAVI.
NertZ put in a solid performance to book himself his first Major playoff appearance, he went 46-39 to set HEROIC up with a match against G2 on Friday.
With one upset out of the way, it looked like we might get another as FaZe took on FURIA.
A slow start from FaZe, they fell 13-6 on Inferno, but recovered well to end up winning the series after a 13-9 on Dust2 and 13-10 on Mirage. That said, it did get a little dicey towards the end, skullz pulled off a play of the year contender from Ramp.
An unfortunate result for FURIA, KSCERATO and skullz did all they could across the series, but it just wasn't enough as ropz went 54-37 to set FaZe up with a match against Vitality.
