Counter-Strike has had a gaping hole in it's professional scene ever since s1mple departed the NAVI lineup, but that hole will now be filled as he has joined Falcons on loan.
This is the second time s1mple has joined Falcons on loan, he previously did so earlier in the year for their BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 campaign.
However, that initial loan didn't last very long, Falcons were eliminated by Metizport in their opening game.
In NAVI's statement about the loan deal, the Ukrainian organisation states that the duration of the loan will last three months.
This means that s1mple will now play for Falcons throughout the Perfect World Shanghai Major cycle, with the RMRs set to kick off for European teams on November 17th.
s1mple's experience in CS2 has been extremely limited thus far, that game against Metizport is the only professional game of CS the GOAT has played since CS2 released.
Although nothing has yet been confirmed by Falcons as to who s1mple will be replacing, an earlier report by HLTV suggest it will be Spanish AWPer SunPayus who is moved to the bench to make way for s1mple.
If that is the case, it will see Falcons bench their highest-rated player in the last three months. SunPayus' 1.13 puts him 0.05 higher than their second highest-rated player, Magisk.
