When NAVI announced that s1mple would be leaving the organisation after nine years, we didn't expect that it would be because he was heading to BC.Game.
The Ukrainian, who impressed during his time with FaZe despite a rough BLAST.tv Austin Major quarter-final performance against The MongolZ, has joined the team in one of the most shocking moves in CS history.
And sadly for nawwk, that does mean that he's now been benched by both device and s1mple within his career.
s1mple is regarded as one of the greatest players to ever touch Counter-Strike, and won a Major at PGL Stockholm 2021 as well as an Intel Grand Slam during his time with NAVI.
He joined NAVI in 2016 following a successful period with Liquid, and became known as the GOAT during his time with the Ukrainian organisation.
After taking a break following the release of Counter-Strike 2, s1mple has had mixed loan spells with Falcons and FaZe, finally playing at a Major again for the first time in two years at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
He now signs for BC.Game, the 67th ranked team in the VRS standings, in one of the most surprising moves in Counter-Strike history.
Currently without a full roster following CYPHER's move to fnatic, he will line up alongside nexa, pr1metapz, and CacaNito.
In a statement posted on his Twitter account, s1mple said:
Fans will now eagerly await his debut for his new team, as well as the announcement of the team's fifth player.
