We were treated to a masterclass between MOUZ and Spirit earlier today, and paiN and FURIA have followed it up with a second banger in the second quarter-final of the day.
Two new teams that have looked outside of their domestic scenes in order to reach new heights within recent months, they traded map picks and needed an OT to decide a victor in what was one of the best Brazilian derbies to ever be played.
Let's take a look at the action.
paiN may have picked Nuke, but it was FURIA who got off to the stronger start as they recorded an 8-4 CT half.
paiN then opened the second half with a CT side pistol win, but the force-buy from FURIA and some sick shots out of FalleN saw their opponents respond with an instant round win.
As it happened, paiN would win only one more round on their map pick, FURIA remained strong throughout the second half to quickly record the five rounds they needed to take Nuke 13-6.
An incredible map from FURIA's new sniper molodoy, he picked up 19 kills to give his team the advantage in the series.
FURIA have been incredibly strong on Anubis with this lineup, but that didn't stop paiN from getting back into the series with a 13-8 win off the back of a dominant T side.
Clutches kept coming dav1deuS' way, he picked up another just a few rounds later to give his new team a solid four round lead.
Oh yeah, and another one just a few rounds later.
9-3 down at the half, FURIA did attempt to claw their way back into the game, but solid shooting from nqz saw paiN take map point at 12-7.
FURIA did manage to win one more round, but the early clutches from dav1deuS proved to be too much as paiN sent us to a third at 13-8. The Chilean star topped the server on map two, ending with a 19-13 statline and a 1.53 rating.
A game as good as this one deserved a grandstand finish, and we got exactly that as we needed all the rounds and an overtime in order to find the eventual winner.
The two halves were relatively even, although you wouldn't have ever guessed it as FURIA raced to a 6-0 lead.
paiN did end up getting some rounds on the board, though, and biguzera and nqz knew exactly how to frustrate KSCERATO in the 2v1.
Still trailing 7-5 at the half, it got worse for paiN as a 3K on pistol from YEKINDAR saw FURIA extend their lead to 8-5.
However, paiN would go on a win streak of their own, with snow securing an eleventh round after an incredible defence of his B site.
12-8 down, FURIA weren't out of it, they fought back thanks to some pure moments of magic to push paiN to OT.
Sadly, though, that run used up the remainder of the gas left in FURIA's tank, and they collapsed in OT as they lost four consecutive rounds to give paiN a 16-12 win.
nqz topfragged, he went 29-22 to send his team to a place none of them had ever been before - the Major semi-finals.
