It's quarter-final day at BLAST Rivals and kicking us off we had MOUZ vs FaZe.
A long-standing rivalry in CS that's typically leaned towards FaZe, the latest iteration of the matchup didn't disappoint, with MOUZ having to pull off a comeback in order to seal map one and an incredible performance from Jimpphbat to secure the series for his team on Mirage.
Let's go over the action.
MOUZ came into the series strong. Kicking us off on Dust2, it didn't take long before they had built up an 8-4 lead on their CT side of Dust2.
rain wasn't intent on allowing MOUZ to run away with it, though, he clutched up in the second half pistol round to pull FaZe back into the game.
A round that put some life back into FaZe, they then went on a seven round winning streak, pushing themselves to a 11-8 advantage.
However, MOUZ weren't done, they would go on to win five rounds in a row to take the map 13-11.
That run looked like it would meet it's end in the final round of regulation, xertioN was put into an uncomfortable 1v4. Not that it mattered, though, the Israeli superstar turned it on to kill all four and snatch away the map without the need for OT.
MOUZ took their momentum into Mirage, their battering ram of a T side saw FaZe quickly succumb to a 8-0 deficit.
FaZe eventually got themselves on the board in round nine, and followed up with a second in round 10. Spinx wasn't feeling like letting them get back into the game, though, he picked up a double entry on B to secure a ninth round for MOUZ.
10-2 at the half, things were looking good for Jimpphat. Everything went right for him on the T side, he ended it with a 21-2 statline.
And he kept going in the second half, too. FaZe never stood a chance, the young Finn added six more frags to his dally to round out the game at 13-2 with a 27-3 statline.
