It's quarter-finals day and BLAST Open Lisbon and we're already one game down as MOUZ have breezed past G2 and straight into the semi-finals.
A dominant win for the winners of PGL Cluj-Napoca, the young squad continue to prove that they didn't make a mistake in benching siuhy earlier this year and will now face Eternal Fire in semi-finals.
But first, let's go over their quarter-final win.
The series began on Inferno, with MOUZ opting to begin the map on their CT side. A calculated decision from them, they limited G2 to six T-sided rounds before taking over in the second half.
The first half then, as is to be expected with a 6-6 scoreline, was very close. Big plays often decided the close rounds, just like this one from Spinx as he crept through the CT smoke on B.
From sneaking through smokes to preventing being crept up on, Brollan defended a smoke on Arch and managed to cut down four as G2 attempted to wrap to B in the very next round.
The second half was much more one-sided, G2 could only register two more rounds as xertioN put up an 11-4, 2.11 T half to crush his opponents and secure the map 13-8 in favour of MOUZ.
Those kills saw xertioN extend his lead at the top of the scoreboard, he topped the server with a 21-11 statline to give his team the advantage in the series.
With one map already in the bag, MOUZ entered Nuke with confidence. They may have gone on to lose the pistol round, but that didn't stop them from winning four on the bounce when guns came out to quickly turn the game in their favour.
Those four extended into nine, with MOUZ putting up a dominant T half thanks to plays like this from Brollan.
But Brollan wasn't the only one picking up the big plays, torzsi didn't even need his AWP to pick up the 1v3 and send MOUZ into the break with their 9-3 lead.
As MOUZ wrapped up the game with ease on their CT side, everything was going well for them.
Well, except their fistbumps.
A truly deserved win for them, xertioN put in another big performance in the 13-3 win, but it was torzsi who topped the scoreboard with an 18-7 statline.
