YEKINDAR announces that he has been benched by Liquid
As was expected to be the case during this rostermania, Liquid have benched YEKINDAR.
The benching calls time on the Latvian's two-year spell with the team, a run that started when he replaced shox at IEM Cologne 2022.
YEKINDAR had struggled for form in 2024, recording a 0.99 rating on LAN across the year.

YEKINDAR arrived on Liquid as one of the hottest prospects on the transfer market following his benching by Virtus.pro.
A star in the online era, he was then credited with helping Liquid get back up to speed following a difficult spell after Counter-Strike returned to LAN in 2021.
YEKINDAR would later become the IGL of the team after the BLAST.tv Paris Major, assuming the role when nitr0 announced his retirement.
The team began to struggle from that point onwards, with multiple players coming and going as they failed to find a lineup that truly clicked.
In the latter stages of his spell with Liquid, YEKINDAR struggled for form as a result of often being the only truly aggressive player on the team.
Never truly regaining his form after his spell as an in-game leader, the benching marks the end of a difficult spell for the Latvian star.
Although YEKINDAR failed to win anything during his time on Liquid, the team did enjoy many deep runs. His best placings were at ESL Pro League Season 16 and BLAST Premier World Final 2022, where Liquid were the defeated finalists both times.
