Although he was a relative unknown before the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, jL, or rather, jLegend, has become a fan favourite in the 18 months since.
Now a key figure in NAVI's PGL Major Copenhagen winning system and the MVP of the event, the Lithuanian has established himself as one of the best riflers in the world so it's no surprise that players may opt to copy jL's CS2 settings and config.
jL has a constantly growing reputation within Counter-Strike 2. Hailing from Lithuania, he is now the most decorated player in his nation's history within Counter-Strike.
Having made a name for himself with Apeks, with whom he reached the semi-finals of the BLAST.tv Paris Major, he then moved to NAVI, where his career has gone from strength to strength.
Now a key player for the Ukrainian organisation, while playing in the famous yellow and black he became a Major MVP at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, as well as won the inaugural Esports World Cup.
jL uses mostly standard mouse settings in CS2, however, unlike many pros, he prefers to use 800 DPI as opposed to 400.
Outside of that, his settings are pretty uniform, making them easy to remember if you want to input them into your own game.
jL uses a standard green crosshair. To use jL's CS2 crosshair, copy the following crosshair code and input it into your game.
jL uses a slightly unusual viewmodel compared to many other CS2 pros. If you want to input it into your own game, put the following commands into your console.
Unlike many other parts of his config and settings, jL's video settings in CS2 are standard and line up with other CS2 pros.
These settings will maximise FPS and performance, while not giving away potential advantages by keeping Shadow Quality high.
jL's CS2 settings and config are just one part of his game, you'll need to do a lot more if you wish to truly play like jL.
Watching pro demos, as well as your own will be key to improvement. By doing this, you'll be able to not only identify the movements of other players that work, but also highlight issues within your own game that you can improve upon.
Additionally, you should adopt an aim routine that will allow you practice both crosshair placement and spray control. Not just that, but you should also get more repetition in by simply playing Deathmatch and regular Competitive games.
And the other thing, like jL, make sure you always adopt a positive attitude. CS can be tilting at times, so remaining positive will get you through the most challenging of loss streaks.
