IEM Katowice is now underway and the Play-in stage was a lively affair.
There were some close games and some absolute blowouts, including HEROIC getting just six rounds against BIG, Liquid pulling off a 13-0 against Wildcard, and Eternal Fire advancing with ease.
However, things are about to get a whole lot harder for those teams advancing from the Play-in, the big boys are now set to arrive in Poland.
BLAST Bounty winners Spirit are set to arrive in Katowice in the group stage, but it'll be all eyes on FaZe and Falcons as they make their LAN debuts with their new lineups.
EliGE and NiKo will both be hoping for big events, with both men keen to put their Bounty woes behind them.
Joining the big teams is a host of dangerous underdogs, including defeated BLAST Bounty finalists Eternal Fire. The Turkish squad made light work of the Play-in stage, but can they keep up their form when the action gets underway tomorrow?
There are some pretty spicy looking opening games, including an almost-derby between Vitality and 3DMAX. Vitality are home to the greatest French player in CS history, as well as one of France's most decorated players in apEX, but Vitality no longer fly the French flag, and that could be huge motivation for 3DMAX.
We've also got Falcons vs Eternal Fire to look forward to, a rematch of the series that saw Falcons eliminated from BLAST Bounty. A 2-0 in favour of Eternal Fire when it was online, can NiKo, TeSeS, and degster turn the tides on LAN?
