G2 overcome Vitality to book grand final place

It's semi-finals day at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 and first up we had Vitality vs G2.

A rematch of the IEM Dallas 2024 grand final, a lot has changed for G2 but they managed to be victorious once again as they overcame their opponents in a 2-1 win.

Vitality take Anubis

We kicked off on Anubis and NiKo got going quickly, he picked up two to find his team some space in Mid.

And then found one through the doors in the next round to once again pressure Vitality's CT side.

7-5 at the half, Vitality extended their lead thanks to this clutch from Spinx.

G2 weren't done though, some smart play in Connector let malbsMd get one over on ZywOo.

NiKo kept up his impact in the second half, he picked up three in defence of the A site.

13-9 when all was said and done, 22 kills from malbsMd wasn't enough to give G2 an early advantage in the series.

G2 bounce back on Dust2

Vitality started strong again on Dust2 but huNter- was on hand to get his team into the game.

4-5 down but feeling good, TaZ was confident that G2 would soon have the game under control.

And he was right to be confident, G2 cut Vitality down on Long thanks to a couple of quick multi-kills.

7-5 in favour of G2 at the half, Vitality clawed a round back as the game went to 8-7 but a 1v3 from m0NESY extended G2's lead back to two.

G2 won the next round too, but some neat pistol shots from mezii almost gave him a root into the round.

As the map drew ever closer to going G2's way, m0NESY was on hand to secure map point.

G2 secured the map in the next round, NiKo's 18 kills were the difference maker in the 13-7 win.

G2 win series after Mirage overtime

All tied up and heading to a deciding map of Mirage, it was G2 who drew first blood as NiKo defended the A site from Triple.

A half that ended 7-5 in favour of G2, mezii was looking towards a career change as he struggled with G2's firepower.

Vitality could have had the score tied at the half though had Snax not pulled off a 1v2.

NiKo almost pulled off one of the highlights of the year at 7-8, but unfortunately he couldn't close out the 1v5 as apEX got the better of him.

And yes, the desk did pay the price for him not being able to pull it off.

Vitality took map point and looked comfortable at 12-9, but some impactful AWPing from Snax managed to turn the round on it's head.

Spinx had some big impact as G2 forced overtime, picking up multiple G2 men as he made sure Mid belonged to him.

But NiKo soon had his redemption, taking the game away from Vitality as G2 secured their place in the final thanks to a 16-14 win.
