It's semi-finals day here at BLAST Premier World Final 2024 and we already know one team that will be competing in tomorrow's grand final.
After taking down Vitality 2-1, G2 will compete in their second BLAST final in a row and also be in with a chance of being the only team to win the World Final crown twice.
Let's take a look at the action.
We got off to a flying start on Dust2, m0NESY and Snax both picked up some clean pistol headshots to give their team an early advantage.
m0NESY was on fire, he made Vitality's first buy round an utterly miserable experience.
But he wasn't the only G2 player doing so, NiKo picked up all four in a 3v4 retake on the A site.
A half full of highlights for G2, it was Snax who came up big in the final round to give his team a 9-3 lead at the break.
G2 were looking to put the map to bed quickly in the second half, m0NESY aced on pistol to put G2 10-3 up.
Vitality will never go down easily though, and ZywOo started to make them sweat at 12-9 with some insane shots through the doors.
However, it was too little, too late for Vitality, and they fell 13-10 after m0NESY hit an insane 28 frags.
G2 started off strong on Inferno with a 6-2 lead, but Spinx pulled one back with a sick spray transfer.
Vitality quickly got themselves on top of the game after that, they levelled the score in round 12 and pushed on for a 10-6 lead.
In fact, G2 would only manage one more round for the remainder of the map, and Vitality wrapped it up in style as ZywOo pulled off an ace to pick up map point.
Mirage was a brawl to begin with, but NiKo showed why he's the king of those scenarios.
The game remained close, but G2 held on for a 7-5 lead at the half.
Something apEX clearly wasn't having fun with.
Ultimately, G2's firepower proved to be too much for Vitality. NiKo and m0NESY combined for 38 kills on the final map as G2 took the series thanks to a 13-8 win.
