Day two of BLAST Premier World Final 2024 has already come to an end and we now know our second semi-finalists.
Astralis booked their spot in Saturday's games earlier on following their victory against MOUZ, and now G2 will be joining them thanks to a 2-0 win against Spirit.
The closest game we've had yet, let's take a look at the action.
The game was close from the offset, it took some pixel-perfect plays from NiKo and m0NESY to get the best of Spirit and secure a fifth for their team.
7-5 at the half, G2 looked set to be able to take it in regulation, but Spirit pushed us to the first overtime of the day.
They even won the first round of overtime, but a moment of magic from the human highlight machine that is m0NESY levelled the scores again.
A moment that broke Spirit, G2 wrapped up the map 16-13 with m0NESY sitting at the top of the scoreboard on 25 kills.
Mirage started with another 5-3 scoreline, but it could have easily been 6-2 had huNter- managed to pull off this 1v2.
There was another close defuse from Spirit a couple of rounds later, pulling them even closer at 5-4.
Level at the half, Spirit managed to cling on and keep it competitive in the second half, but G2 managed to get the all-important rounds and close out the map and series with a 13-10 win.
