They've done it, FaZe are the final team to advance to Stage 3 after taking down MIBR 2-0 int he final game of the Stage.
Avoiding going from 2-0 to 2-3 in the process, they will now stack up against the best teams in the world in the playoffs as they look to make their third consecutive Major final.
Let's look at how they did it.
MIBR kicked us off with a 2-0 start on their map pick, Anubis, thanks to a CT side pistol round win. FaZe then pulled one back, but frozen and rain lining up ensured that insani could secure a third.
FaZe soon took control of the map, however, and s1mple and frozen extended their lead after securing a 2v5.
As it happened, MIBR would only win four rounds across the entire map. 13-4 when the map drew to a close, frozen topped the server with a huge 20-6 statline.
Despite winning the opening round of their map pick, the second map wasn't as easy as FaZe would've liked it to be.
They did get off to an early lead, though, and s1mple enjoyed getting to farm some eco frags on the B site.
MIBR came back into the game in a big way, brnz4n continued his run of big plays to give the Brazilians the lead early into the second half.
The Brazilians were even first to match point, but America's last remaining hope EliGE was on hand to take us to OT.
A round that would push FaZe onwards, they managed to take the map 16-12 after dominating the overtime. EliGE topfragged, his 25 kills alongside a combined 43 from s1mple and frozen saw FaZe advance to the next stage.
