The Major magic is continuing in Austin, Legacy have pulled off an incredible win over FaZe to go 3-0 in Stage 2.
After the incredible win, we spoke to dumau about his and Legacy's performances at the event.
You've just qualified to Stage 3, how are you feeling right now?
We're feeling good, we fought a lot and that was our goal, not just to win. We knew that FaZe are a great team, so at least if we were going to lose, we wanted to go down fighting and without fear.
It was important we did that, and if we won, it was going to be a consequence of doing that.
Right now you just can't stop winning, what's the limit tot that? Do you keep going one game at a time and hope it continues?
The limit is just whatever is in your mind, we don't put anything in our mind and we look at each other and say that we've practiced really well, and now it's just time to show that in the games.
We all know that we need a fire, and I felt that within our team, and we all know to think individually that "if I don't feel it then I will be it and I will bring everyone up myself. I will die and I will do whatever I have to for my teammates in order to win.
FaZe were considered to be one of the favourites to go through 3-0 from this Stage, where you playing without expectations and therefore more freely? Was there no pressure?
Of course you feel pressure and think about things, especially if the game gets close, but you don't want to overthink. In terms of myself, I don't regret anything even if we lose, we don't care if we lose or win, as long as we lose like fighters and like men.
If we win, it's a consequence of that mindset, we will keep getting better. We've won now, so we'll chill today because this is good, but tomorrow the work comes again because we're going game by game and trying to win each one, we're putting pressure on ourselves to play the best game we can and even scream at each other to make sure we're doing the best.
That pressure we put on ourselves is the only pressure we feel, we do that to play our best CS possible.
After a win like this, if you keep progressing on the same track would you call yourselves the best team in Brazil right now?
I don't think that there is a best team in Brazil, but I also don't really care about it. If we all push each other in Brazil and someone becomes the best in the world, that's good, this is our goal. We don't want to be better than paiN, MIBR, FURIA, we want to accomplish our goals every day and try to be the best team in the world.
It's not just for Brazil, it's for the whole world, a lot of people are getting better and you have to look outside of yourself.
There's a lot of big teams in Stage 3, is there anyone you want to play or do you feel like you can take on anyone right now?
Of course, there are only good teams now and we'll all be looking at each other with respect, but I think my mind is just about ourselves and not about anyone else.
I want us to play our best CS and to change some things, to look into the future in a smart way. We can win, but as I said, our goal isn't to do that, it's just to have no regrets.
