With the first anniversary of CS2's release fast approaching, we've recently been asking some of the pros what their current thoughts on the game are.
First, we spoke to NiKo, who said that he's "pretty disappointed with the development of CS2."
Next, we spoke to ropz, who said that he thinks the game will be "good by 2030" and that he's "stopped thinking about it because it's demotivating to think about."
So, not overly positive.
However, it was a pleasant surprise when we spoke to cadiaN and he provided us with a much more measured approach.
Neither overly positive or overly negative, cadiaN was open about the game needing improvement, but it was quick to point out that success is in his own hands.
"It has it's upsides and it has it's downsides. I think that there's massive room for improvement in different areas of the game, but then again, are you going to try to complain about it or are you going to try to master it? I think I'll try the second one." - cadiaN
An optimistic and determined response from the new Astralis man, it was the perfect encapsulation of his mood when we spoke to him yesterday.
The Danish IGL understands that with his new team, the world is his oyster, but in order to have the success he desires, it's going to take a level of mastery over CS2.
Be sure to read our full interview with cadiaN ahead of his debut at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024. His first game against Vitality will start at 17:00 CEST, so we won't have to wait long to see what level he can bring to the legendary Danish organisation.
