Spirit overcome HEROIC thanks to strong T sides
The quarter-finals of BLAST Bounty Season One are now underway, and Spirit have taken down HEROIC in our first match up.
A series that featured a close map and a dominant one, let's take a look at the action.
Spirit come back on Anubis
Map one started well for HEROIC, they picked up a 9-3 lead in the first half thanks to plays like this one from SunPayus.
Without their coach hally, Spirit were clearly struggling, and the signs of pressure were beginning to show for donk.
It's not easy to keep donk down though, and he tore open the B site as Spirit began to mount a comeback.
Next it was sh1ro's turn to get in on the action, he took down two despite being full-blind.
A play that spurred Spirit on, they completed their comeback to take the map 13-11.
Spirit blitz Nuke
Spirit carried their momentum forward into map two, pulling off a 2v4 in the first round to give themselves an early advantage.
They continued with two more rounds, but some, err, heroics from SunPayus got HEROIC on the board in round four.
Hero plays kept coming, but it was magixx who pulled off the next great round as he picked up an ace on round seven.
9-3 at the half, Spirit took map point with some impressive trickery on their CT side.
They won in the very next round, sh1ro ended the map as the top fragger with a 19-5 statline.
